This vintage 1960s trench coat by Bill Blass for Bond Street is made of white canvas. It features colorful floral embroidered trim with matching hat/head scarf adding a unique touch to a classic design. It also has two pockets and button snaps. Overall in really nice condition for its age. Best fit for a small or XS. Please note the discoloration on the collar. There appears to be some shrinkage because the silk lining goes below the coat in back. From a smoke free home.
It’s hard to believe this jacket is 60+ years old because the condition is immaculate. It has 3 buttons on the front and 2 button detail at the sleeves. The lining is in excellent condition as well. It has 2 functional front pockets and a back vent at the hem. There are no moth holes, stains or tears. I suspect it was worn very little, if at all. The tweed is a gorgeous brown and quite soft for wool with little specks of red, blue, green and orange throughout. I’ve included a close up photo to show the detail. The fabric has a textured jacquard flower print, and a slight sheen. Could possibly be a silk blend. The inner lining is this super soft satin cream fabric. There are no labels. It has button closures, one inner, one outer.
It is accented by a sophisticated black velvet collar and a single button closure. The velvet collar adds a Victorian-revival or equestrian touch that was very popular in 1980s professional wear.
Overall good condition. Missing a lower front button and the lining has a few holes or seam tares throughout. The length is 43 inches long, the pit to pit width is 23 inches wide, the shoulder to shoulder is 16 inches wide, and the length of the sleeves from the shoulder to the end is 22 inches long.
