This is an 1880’s winter wool bodice that would have originally been part of a two piece bustle gown. The fabric is beautiful. It is a red/brown color with black and white mixed in. It is missing one of its amazing buttons and has some underarm wear otherwise very good. The shoulders are 13 inches, the sleeves are 23 inches and the front length from shoulder to hem is 19 inches. The bust is 33 inches and the waist is 35 inches.

Interesting 40’s dress that needs some restitching on the bodice front. Decorative strips need to be reattached. Strap shoulder sleeves, peplum at waist, skirt is pleated in front revealing 3 large applied leaves with applique detailing. Skirt is pleated with open center. Leaves are sewn in netting, skirt is lined in a stretchy sheer fabric. Pictures show this. Few holes in navy fabric, fading near one tiny hole.Few scuff marks at hemline. 15” metal mid back zipper.
