Vintage Lilli Diamond Evening Gown, Off White Ruffled Strapless Prom Dress. Off white Strapless gown from late 70’s or early 80’s. I’m not certain on the size. Waist measures 13.5 seam to seam. It is in good vintage condition. Please review photos carefully. I tried to capture any stains or pulls. They aren’t noticeable. It has been stored but was dry cleaned prior. I am guessing around a 6-8. Worn once.
This piece is wounded. It has a broken backside zipper, the zipper itself has a tear between the tape and the teeth, it will need a replacement. This piece is a tea length and is tagged size 14. It has a beautiful diamond hatch pattern with little rhinestones on an ivory taffeta base. This one is 100% poly with a full acetate lining. Vintage 1960s Renaissance revival empire waist mini dress with billowy sleeves that gather with a snap at the wrist and a deep red velvet, crushed bodice vest with gold brocade trim that closes with a single hook in the front. The pieces can be worn separately or together. The only tag on the inside identify a size 7. No brand or fabric content. Square neck line with pleading at the bust. Laying flat measures 32 inches shoulder to hem, 16 inches armpit to armpit, 14.75 inches across the natural waist, 18 inches across the hip. The vest is 14 inches long.
Draped cowled neckline falls in back to a deep vee at the derrière and coccyx bone. Remove and reinforce with existing fabric. Also, gown should be professionally pressed. It has history, was, most likely, lovingly worn and cared for and endured far more years than most of us – in most cases 60 to 100 plus years.
