This is a lovely antique Edwardian or Late Victorian white voile dress. XXXS Shown on size 2 dress form, which measures 34-25-34.5. White sheer cotton voile. Would require a long slip, and probably a corset. Round neck with tulle lace ruffle Pintucks at shoulders and center front Sheer lace inset at bust, with lace edging, and ruffle. Extended shoulders. Gathers at waist. Waistband inset of sturdy woven fabric. Gathers and pintucks below waist. Lace inset trim and tulle ruffle. Horizontal darts at knee level. Back closure with hooks and eyes above waist, hooks and thread loops below waist. In very good condition, especially for something of this age. A few small darns. Amazing early 1940s silk nurse uniform. Yes you heard that right – silk. Beautiful button front with buttons as cuffs and pintucking. Pockets. Flaws – in amazing shape for a uniform that is silk. One spot on the front and a little stress around arms and back. Not a huge deal and totally wearable. So soft!!!!
