Here is a beautiful classic antique nightshirt that dates middle of the 19th century. I have freshly laundered and pressed this nightshirt, it is ready to wear. A lot of antique textiles are so robust and wonderfully easy to wash and maintain.

This is an antique handmade, handwoven, linen nightgown with pink and white lace trim, and monogrammed. The fabric is be pure natural linen, nubby slightly heavy and in very good condition. it measures 39” from top to hem. Armpit to armpit is 20” measured flat. There is some very light pink staining from the pink lace trim surrounding that area, hardly noticeable. There is also a small tiny hole under one armpit at the seam line that can easily be stitched. This lovely, hand embroidered gown is made of soft, fine, thin cotton. There are a few worn spots in photos 5-3. This is a simple, straight side, loose fitting gown. The darts at the chest and top of the side seams appear to be resewn.
Amazing condition, it’s been sitting in a closet for 80 years! This robe was manufactured in Japan and brought home by WW2 soldiers as souvenirs for their wives!
