Vtg Sz Medium Michelene Ivory Green Pink Embroidered Floral Sheer Hem Half Slip
You are bidding on Vintage Women’s Size Medium (according to measurements) Michelene Ivory w/Green Pink Floral Sheer Hem Half Slip. This dainty slip is just beautiful. The 2 1/2″ sheer hem is scalloped with embroidered flowers in light green and pink thread. Even the scalloping is embroidered and goes from green to pink to green. It’s just beautiful and they don’t make things the way they did back then. I’m guessing this is from the 1950’s or 1960’s as it was found in a trunk belonging to my step-mother that contained items from that era. There is a small section on the back of the elastic waist where 1 1/4″ of threading came loose from elastic (see 5th photo). There are two pink « stars » where the threading is loose (6th & 7th photos) and a green & pink « leaf » (8th & 9th photo). There are a couple of brown spots along hem (9th &10th photo) that I did not try to spot clean. Slip has been freshly laundered and line dried. VTG. 60’s Sheer Black Illusion Lace Vanity Fair Negligée Nightgown or Dress – sz 36 Bust. About a Med. Note: Rhianna wore a similar Black lingerie gown as a dress to the Dior FW 2022 Runway Show and caused a sensation. If you have not seen it yet you will want to Google it and take a look. This gown or night dress is even more beautiful than hers! The under layer is a pale pink nylon translucent, but not transparent layer, through which diffused light passes and outlines the body so that its lines and curves can be seen behind it but are not clearly defined. Over this is a layer of black lace for the bodice and a layer of transparent black nylon for the skirt. High quality French Satin Ribbon lifts and accentuates the bodice then forms a bow in front with long streamers Beautiful Highly Collectable & Ultra Glamorous Sexy Black Nightgown ! All edges are trimmed in thin fine black lace. Thin double sets of spaghetti straps are delicately intertwined on the shoulder thus decorating the neckline in both the front and the back. The length is 43″ from shoulder to hem. This beautifully designed and is as good as it gets! Gorgeous and in wonderful condition. A perfect gift (or gift wrap) with its own long double faced satin ribbon! These are very rare and hard to find, especially in such excellent condition. Vintage Black Slip Dress Maybe Vanity Fair Wounded No Tags 36 Bust
In a Google search, I can only find one other one that is identical and it is a vanity fair brand. This slip dress has no tags is shown on a 35 inch busted mannequin with room to spare. It is wounded because in several places, in the pleating near the hemline, the stitching has broken from stretching and in one place, It looks like somebody tried to iron it. Those damages are shown in the last two pictures. I think it could be shortened above the burned area and the lace could be added back on or it could be worn as is as a slip.!
