This piece was worn by a fashion maven who owned only. She wore it w/this bombshell jersey blouse which has ruching down the 3/4-length sleeves & a side zipper. Blouse is double-faced lined in rayon crepe, the outer is either silk or rayon jersey.
This is a gorgeous vintage hand painted Mexican skirt with a stunning metallic floral theme. Full circle skirt. Waist closes with a band from the front that secures at the back with two hooks and then has two ends from the back that wrap to the front and tie. The only flaw is the worn tag inside. Vintage 40s Ladye Helene White Rayon & Mesh Lace Full Gathered Skirt Size Small (VD3) To give a poodle skirt extra « bounce and flounce » when you wear it to a sock hop or other celebration, wear a full, gathered skirt like this beneath it. This is a slip made from nylon netting, the fabric most-often used decades ago to make stiff, full slips. In very good condition. Some stray threads. Some pinholes as shown in the photos. They are not large but are from wear/age. This fabric is stretchy. The elastic has worn out and the previous owner used safety pins to size it. Flat measurements are approximately 17.5 inches across the waist x 30 inches from the waist to the bottom hem. Vintage 1950’s Fred Perlberg Green Taffeta & Tulle Prom / Special Occasion Dress. Size is approximately 2 (in today’s sizing) see measurements in item specifics. Bust 30″, waist 22″ Length 50″ (approximate from shoulder – sleeves) to hem. Good vintage condition.
• Red crinoline underskirt intact and adds fullness to the skirt. A striking 1950s party dress with dramatic contrast from the red crinoline peeking beneath the skirt. • Black taffeta fabric with subtle sheen.
There is a tiny spot inside the left front pleat and a small tear in the lace to the left of the back buttons. Pit to Waist: 8.5in. There are also dirt marks on the inside of the train from dragging on the ground which are worst on the right side, but they are not visible unless the hem is flipped over.
Black tulle lining. 25-34″ stretch waist, 30″ length, no stretch to acetate / taffeta fabric. Black & gray floral flocking flecked with glitter.
