Vintage 1940s German Red & Black Plaid Dress with Heart Designs Winter Warm WWII

Vintage 1940s / 1950s red and black plaid dress with yellow and blue heart designs. MEASUREMENTS (approximate): Bust – 38″ Waist – 32″  Hips – 48″  Length – 43″  Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) – 18″ Neck – 16″ Nice warm winter dress that I bought in Berlin, Germany. Metal Mewa zipper at the neck in the front – there are no other openings. Three-quarter length sleeves. AS-IS. Decent, wearable shape. There is a repair on the bottom of one of the darts on the chest and on one armpit. There are pulls in the material. Some wear on the neck. It does have a slight « attic » smell. It has not been laundered. Remnants of a tag in the neck. See photos for condition. Absolutely GORGEOUS vintage dress! One of those that you can just throw on and look great!! Would also make a great maternity dress! Brand is Junior Accents by Frank Adams ad is made of a loosely woven wool! Stunning bright red with a border print of paisleys in BRIGHT shades of fuchsia , green and gold. Fitted shoulders that flow into a trapeze style dress with LOTS of pleats all around!!!! Zips up the back and has a mock neck collar. One of the eyes at the back of the collar is loose and could use a couple of stitches. There is a small hole on the back of the shoulder near the arm hole and strangely, there is a good bit of wear and a quite a few small holes at the bottom hem. Good thing is that the pleats pretty much obscure the damage there! Very hard to see unless you get right up close and examine the bottom hem. no size tag, so please check the measurements carefully. All measurements have been taken with the dress laying flat, so may need to be doubled. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam – 15″Underarm to underarm – 19″Shoulder to bottom hem- 36″
