VTG Young Edwardian by Arpeja Red and White Checkered/Gingham Dress Embroidered
Very pretty sundress with beautiful detail! What a pretty little sundress! Threads could probably be cut, but I didn’t want to chance damaging it.

Edwardian « Lingerie Dress » (or Tea Gown), likely dating from between 1905 and 1908. These dresses were called « lingerie dresses » because they were made of the same lightweight, white cotton fabrics (like lawn or batiste) and intricate lace insertions used for fine undergarments of the era. They represented a shift toward a softer, more ethereal silhouette compared to the rigid structure of the high Victorian period. Beautiful antique condition, perfect for display or study, sold as is as shown – please contact me with any questions before purchasing.
