From the 1940s, a slinky, sexy full slip (or nightgown, or, if you dare, dress) in candlelight white rayon satin The slip is clipped on Cecelia the dress form, but it still doesn’t fit her well. She’s too slim.
Sexy, luxurious, sensual, silk. Blouson back and skirting gathered into the back waistband. Soft and flowing. Interior ties, loop for inner waist security though no button. Usual wear to silk, almost sand washed in nature.
The jacket is a cropped bolero style, which was at the height of fashion in the late 40s giving a perfection hourglass shape ! On the bolero it has a white shawl collar panel. They end in a small cuffed detail that matches the shawl panel collar.
Cute little step-in for day wear in the summer of nightwear to bed. It is pretty much straight up and down rather than a bias cut. Would be cute with a belt also. Pleated smocked bodice with scalloped eyelet edging or openwork trim. I really like this detail. There is one lone rosette on the base of one strap. This step in does not have buttons at the crotch.
