This dress is made from a heavy fabric, it has a silky feeling but I am not sure of the content, best guess is rayon or silk blend. The bodice attached to the skirt is probably rayon taffeta, it has a metal zipper in back, the skirt is flat lined. The over blouse has dolman sleeves, a metal separating zipper in back, slits on the side back seams. The over blouse is 40 1/2 inches around the bust and is 16 1/2 inches long. Judy Hornby was a London designer that moved to New York in 1970s and one of the pieces under her label was bestowed the « dress of the year » for 1971 by the Fashion Museum in Bath. She loved a spiral, bias cut and her dresses feel like they slide on and wrap around you to both cling to the body and skim over your curves.
