This dress is made from a heavy fabric, it has a silky feeling but I am not sure of the content, best guess is rayon or silk blend. The bodice attached to the skirt is probably rayon taffeta, it has a metal zipper in back, the skirt is flat lined. The over blouse has dolman sleeves, a metal separating zipper in back, slits on the side back seams. The over blouse is 40 1/2 inches around the bust and is 16 1/2 inches long. Beautiful vintage 1940’s A Dartford Deb black dress with metal side zipper. A silk crepe material. It has belt loops, but no belt. In good vintage condition. It has one tiny snag on the front bib and one tiny hole in the lower skirt (front side). It’s difficult to see due to the swing of the skirt. It has a few light stains on the bottom skirt (not dark or oil stains). It’s also missing a piece that was sewn onto the back neckline. Maybe a silk rose or a pin or a scarf. Size XXS or 0 or 00. It’s displayed on a size 2-4 dress form that measures approx.14″ shoulders, 33 1/2″ chest, 26 1/2″ waist, 35 1/2″ lower hips.
