This amazing true vintage 1960s handmade Moroccan Caftan is in near-perfect condition. The stunning details include 113 closures down the front (yes, I counted them ) and 9 closures on each sleeve. Beautiful green and gold brocade and fully lined in yellow. Handmade in Tangier Morocco in the 1960’s by « Au Chic », this rare item is more than a Garment, it is a wearable work of art. After careful inspection, the only thing I can find wrong with it are two of the buttons on the very bottom side slit are missing & can be seen in the last photo. This is hardly noticeable as I never noticed it until I was inspecting it inch by inch. The rest of the Caftan is in impeccable condition with no other flaws and without odors. I have four older vintage dresses from the early seventies. Two of them were prom dresses, one was a bridesmaids dress and one was made to go to a Christmas party. The yellow one and the two blue ones are homemade. The aqua one is from a company called Lorrie Deb. They are all in used but good condition. They would be fun to have for a costume party, or for a theater group that would like some older dresses from the past. The yellow dress is made out of taffeta with a starched lining. The blue dresses are made from old fashioned polyester.
