These add-on ruffles were contained in a box of miscellaneous costume items, like ruffled panties and bras that seemed like they had been used in a stage show review production. Perhaps 1930s? A lot of hand sewing to add various pieces of ruffles and extensions.

Vintage 1940s Brown Jacket Top With Snipped Waist Size XS-S Absolutely darling! I just love the velvet bow laced through the collar, slight shoulder pads, snipped waist and crystal embellished buttons! This is my favorite silhouette, strong shoulder and tiny waist. What a beautifully constructed cape! My mother made a similar one back in the 1970s so I am guessing this one is of that era. The pattern, though is very 1940s England and the wool is fantastic! Beautiful rich tan and brown plaid.

Fabulous looking poncho, instant retro look – front zip, front pockets, diamond shaped darker brown detail, reinforced arm holes. It’s on front, left side between pocket and zipper. Probably can buff out but I don’t want to try and possibly discolor.
