This elegant mid-century piece features a rich, swirled texture characteristic of genuine karakul fur, a rounded portrait collar, and a luxurious satin lining with delicate floral jacquard design. The condition of this capelet is generally good though note several small bald spots/areas of thinning of the fur (pictured).
Regina Glenara by Glenoit. The interior is fully lined with a sophisticated tonal damask jacquard fabric featuring a floral motif. Shows light, even wear consistent with age with no significant flaws.
It has a fold over collar with a seam tear on the back right shoulder. It has inside waist pockets on each flap. It has a brown satin lining with the initials MCM on the right side. I believe it is mink animal fur.

It is in remarkably good condition for being so old. There are 3 broken threads that I have marked with small gold safety pins. See the last 3 pictures to see broken threads. It needs cleaning.
This cape is in good condition with only minor age related wear. It is sturdy and could be worn. It does have a hook and eye that would clasp it together but I am not sure what you do with the long streamers in the front. From the neckline of the cape in back to the bottom of the fringe is 17 inches. I measured the top and bottom of the cape including the front streamers. The top is 52 inches around and the bottom is 72 inches long. I wonder if the streamers are suppose to tie in some way. It came with an 1860’s dress I purchased. The dress is not part of the sale.
