A vintage (late 1970’s–early 1980’s?) Courreges crisp, beautifully designed 2-piece skirt suit in a navy blue cotton blend. The sizing on each item is different: The jacket is labeled a 000 which I would say is a 6/8 (see measurements below) and the pencil skirt is labeled A, which is more like a 4/6 (see measurements below.) The double-breasted, moto-styled jacket (which might have had shoulder pads–the seams of the lining at both shoulders have an opening) features stylized sleeves that are sewn to slightly puff at the shoulders–finished with button cuffs, an open pointed collar, two horizontal zippered chest pockets, a moto jacket style back with a band at the lower back with double button closures, and elasticized panels on the side–to blouse a bit at the waist. The straight pencil skirt (unlined) features a back button and zip closure, a waistband that has 2 buttons at the front–more for style than function–two side slash pockets at the hips, and a couple of pleats on the front to the sides of the pockets. The skirt has been taken out to the max and has a ribbon hem on the interior. The skirt does not have a vent or slit. The suit fabric is made of 67% polyester and 33% cotton, the lining is 100% acetate. The suit is in excellent pre-owned, vintage condition. Freshly cleaned. Per above at the shoulders of the jacket on the inside are 2 openings at the seam of the lining–where I assume were shoulder pads.
