The sleeves and bodice are fully lined; lining extends to mid thigh. The front of the skirt has a carefully wrapped front that is partially sewn down for modesty, but makes walking and sitting easy and comfortable.

I have listed it as 40s-50s as this dress has back metal zipper and earlier dresses had side zippers or keyholes neck. Due to the hip construction of the dress it could very well be 40s. The fabric and lace appear to have no holes. The lining has discolorations. Dress needs dry cleaning.

Of course, the real show-stopper with this piece are the interesting sleeves, with a sort of pleated shoulder design, which creates a row of little peaks or points -so cool! It is also possible it could be slightly older than 1930’s, the silhouette is classic and will be chic forever.
