Lined: Red taffeta. The black fur collar is tacked on, easy to remove. evening oropera coat. Very breakfast at Tiffany`s. ~ Good: Still wearable but needs repair ( new zippers, small holes . Fair : Most likely not wearable for study or pattern making. ).

#25-066, Brown 1870’s – 1880’s Silk Faille Bodice : This bodice was made as part of a bustle dress ensemble. All we have is the bodice and its sleeves have been removed. The fabric is still sturdy.
Bag 60 There is a small rip at the bottom of inside liner. Hard to notice given double layer of chiffon covering it. Stitching up would make it very hard to notice flaw..not visible on surface. The seam has also come apart in a couple of spots on bottom hem but hard to notice. Totally wearable as is without noticing flaws in my opinion. Dressy cropped silhouette with a romantic old-Hollywood look.
This exquisite original Victorian bodice dates to the 1890’s and showcases the height of late 19th-century fashion. Crafted from luxurious ivory silk brocade, it features a beautiful jacquard floral pattern with delicate lace trim and pleated accents along the hem.
This is an amazing Victorian accessory from the 1890’s and is called a caplet. It is made of a plush velvet. It is lined in a burgundy taffeta which I believe to have been a replacement for the original lining. It was very well done. The dress form I have it on has 15 inch shoulders but this was created in a style where anyone could wear it. It is 85 inches around the bottom. From the front neck to the hem is 10 inches. There are threads around the edges so there was most likely beads, fringe, lace or fur sewn all around the bottom and the front. It is sturdy and wearable. It does have a museum tag sewn in at the neckline. It would be great for exhibition, reenactment, a Haloween party or even the Opera.
The fur trim is very frayed and is totally missing in places. It might be curly lamb. The inside lining is cotton and there is an inner pocket. It is missing part of the front neck closure. It would make a great witches accessory for your Haloween party.
