Description : Here we have an interesting black silk (almost like a linen) duster jacket from the 1940s era. It was definitely hand made. It has shell buttons up the front and can be worn with or without a belt, which is shown in the photos. It has a silk collar and there is some damage to the collar, which could be removed and washed or repaired or just removed to be a collarless duster. There is also a small hole on the front which can be seen in the photos. It has interesting gathering at the shoulders and capped sleeves that come in at the top. There is a label fragment that does not look like a pendleton label leading me to believe this is likely an early copycat piece. Additional As is notes-buttons have been resewn and possibly replaced with a plastic button and bright green thread that is definitely not original. Buttons on both cuffs are missing.
