From the early 1900s. You can not wear this- it is old and delicate and irreplaceable.
The silk fabric is just luscious. It is an Extraordinary color, an Extraordinary style. The bodice has a bust of 32”, waist of 24” and has shoulders that are 12” across. The sleeve length from the shoulder to the top of the lace is 21”.
Purchased from a man who said the dress belonged to his great grandmother who was a prominent Southern woman in the 1880s living in Georgia. That is all I know about it. I’m not sure what the fabric is — silk or cotton. It has some hand stitching. I think the bow/sash is for the waist, but I’m not sure. • Features side zipper • Lace floral pattern throughout • Midi length with tiered hemline CONDITION: Multiple spots and areas of discoloration.
