Fabulous vintage Umberto Ginocchietti green linen circle skirt, size [vintage] EU 40 or [modern] US 4. Ginocchietti was a fabric supplier to some of the worl’d most important fashion houses, and this piece shows us why. Made from a gorgeous green linen with a woven peekaboo mesh print that is unusual and difficult to produce. The mesh adds structure to the linen, which is what in part allows this skirt to have the volume and structure it does. The skirt is also lined to an almost crinoline effect. Made in Italy. This seems like an earlier piece of his, produced well before his foray into knits, maybe late 70s? An educated guess! Size zip and button closure. Lined. As with all vintage pieces look at measurements for a correct fit: 26″ waist, 22″ top of waistband to bottom hem. In Excellent, flawless condition. Appears to have never been worn. No rips, tears, repairs, or alterations. No stains or fading.

This beautiful antique Edwardian tea dress is a stunning piece of vintage clothing. The dress features intricate crochet, lace, and cut work detailing on a white linen fabric. It has a waist to front and back hemline measurement of 37 inches and 42 inches, respectively, with a shoulder to shoulder width of 16 inches and a shoulder to hem length of 52 inches on the front and 57 inches on the back. The dress is an original piece from the 1910s and is perfect for a day dress occasion. The dress is a size XS/S, with a chest size of 36 inches and a waist size of 26 inches. As can be seen in photo#8, the dress uses hook and eye closures. As can be seen in photo #4, there is a gap at the waist. Although the hook at the waist is there, the eye is missing and will need to be replaced. Photo #9 shows a number of tiny spots on the front of the skirt that are also shown in photos #10 & 11. Photo #12 shows some minor staining above and below the waist on the front of the dress. I have not tried to clean the dress. The dress also needs steaming. otherwise, it is in good vintage condition.

Linen is having its moment right now, and this 1993 Valentino black linen dress is the perfect piece for the summer! It’s even heavy enough to take you into the fall. It features black and white striped ribbon bow in the front and in the back, with a zip closure in back as well. It’s in overall good condition, though there is some lightening of the fabric in the underarms. It may just be deodorant residue. I have not had it dry cleaned recently. This dress seems to fit like a size Large, but please check the measurements below to determine whether the fit is right for you.
