Unique handmade maxi dress featuring bold patriotic color blocking in navy blue, bright red, and cream. Maxi length. Navy, red & cream color block design. There are two small holes (one on the navy bodice and one on the red skirt), and one larger (5 cm) hole on back, as shown in the photos.
Good condition for age with a few condition issues- (shown). Bottom of hem is frayed probably from previous owner stepping on it. If you re-hem and shorten approx 5″ that will take care of it. Sold as is.

This dress is difficult to date but I believe it’s more late 50’s or early 60’s as it does not have the Sportswear Keone label from the 60’s. It is x-small but a great Keone collectible with a V Neck Surplice neckline and V Neck deep upper back.
Almost full circle maxi skirt is pintucked at waist with an attached belt that creates a huge bow in the back. Very minor discoloration (couldn’t get good photo) on edge of arm holes which is covered when worn.
White top with Deep v neckline and bust darts for shaping. The skirt is made up of textured knit squares in different colors and textures. Shoulder to Shoulder 15-16″. Sleeve Length 9″. Length 58″.

Flat, it measures 27 inches pit to pit, the elastic waist stretches from 16 to 20 inches, and the dress is about 44 inches long. Machine washable. Made in the United States. However by today standards it is tight on my size 2 mannequin as you can see. My mannequin has a bust of 35.5 and a waist of 26.5 I can tell you the person that wore this in 1977was 5’2″ and 110lbs. Worn once for wedding.
