That means anything it’s years is not noticeable under normal social settings This means if you sit it under a good light and go over it with a fine tooth comb, you’re sure to find something that tells its story. These have lived fabulous lives pre internet. Dancing drinking and smoking were commonplace. I will not sell anything with a strong odor but again if you are looking for a reason to “ judge” vintage, you’ll find one I’m sure. I see the history and the quality . Vintage 1970’s Donald Brooks Black Matte Crepe Gown with Woven Rainbow Details
A black dress is the home base from where we all depart but where it takes you and how you get there is open to interpretation. Donald Brooks will take basic black and add a deep V neckline and slightly Empire waist but punctuate it with a woven satin 4.75″ wide cummerbund in bright rainbow hues, tying in the back with three long black ribbons. Synthetic black matte crepe has some give but is not « stretchy ».Echoed at each hidden snap wrist with little rainbow overlaps, you could wear basically any color shoe and it would be right. Bust measures 36″, waist 26″, shoulder to shoulder 15.5″, outer sleeve 24″ and length 55″. Both pieces are in gorgeous condition. If there are any questions, please do not hesitatw to let me know.
