Vintage Umberto Ginocchietti Green Linen Mesh Circle Skirt EU 40 26″ US 4

Fabulous vintage Umberto Ginocchietti green linen circle skirt, size [vintage] EU 40 or [modern] US 4. Ginocchietti was a fabric supplier to some of the worl’d most important fashion houses, and this piece shows us why. Made from a gorgeous green linen with a woven peekaboo mesh print that is unusual and difficult to produce. The mesh adds structure to the linen, which is what in part allows this skirt to have the volume and structure it does. The skirt is also lined to an almost crinoline effect. Made in Italy. This seems like an earlier piece of his, produced well before his foray into knits, maybe late 70s? An educated guess! Size zip and button closure. Lined. As with all vintage pieces look at measurements for a correct fit: 26″ waist, 22″ top of waistband to bottom hem. In Excellent, flawless condition. Appears to have never been worn. No rips, tears, repairs, or alterations. No stains or fading.
