Carnival Vintage Union Made ILGWU Strapless Bustier 34C. Great vintage condition with no rips tears or stains. This style of Union made label was trademarked and only used from 1964 to 1973. As a result this bustier is at least 50 years old!! Vintage items of this age and minimal wear are RARE! Current styles with the exception of higher end brands simply don’t employ the same quality. As the saying goes, they don’t make them like this anymore!

This dress made by the Int Ladies Garment Workers Union is from the 1964-1973 period. This is a mini dress with a boat neck & drop shoulders. The fabric feels like silk, but there is no indication on the tag. It fits like a Sz. S. Please check out all the photos for measurements and details. There is some fraying in the lining, the seams under the armpits need reinforcing. There is a stitch line towards the bottom where the separate turquoise fabric might have been sewn. The colors are an off white, beautiful turquoise and a soft grass green. The style and pattern are stylish and timeless and it would be a quick project to make this vintage piece come back to life! Vintage Climax by David Howard Light Blue Prom/Formal/Maxi Dress – 1973 This is a (t-back?) dress with a ruffle neckline and a tie in the back and zips up the back. I wore it once to my Senior Prom in 1973. It is made of a shiny (satin-looking?) fabric, but back then we removed those tags so they wouldn’t show, so I can’t be sure of the exact material or size. It is a Climax by David Howard dress. I measured around the top at the bottom of the bustline and it measures about 29 inches; and from the bottom of the bustline to the bottom of the dress is about 45 inches – I’m 5’3″ and would have been wearing some kind of heels. It looks much better on a person than it does on a hanger! Also, it was previously cleaned, but it MIGHT NEED TO BE CLEANED again, and it definitely NEEDS TO BE PRESSED as it has been sitting in a plastic bag in my closet for decades.
