1800s Antique Victorian Edwardian Black Silk Bodice Corset Blouse Top XXS

Antique Victorian blouse in roughly a size 2XS. Exact age is unknown, fabric content is believed to be a thick raw silk blend. Overall blouse is still structurally sound but does have some flaws and a few vintage done repairs. Please view all photos carefully as reference for condition. Collar is removable, blouse is missing a couple hook eyes here and there, some of the bodice boning may need to be sewn back down. There is a small stain on the front, no major holes or rips but there are some vintage done repairs on some small holes. Authentic Victorian era bodice (circa 1870s–1890s) is a stunning example of historical tailoring. Made of sturdy blue fabric with quilted trim details on collar, a rugged black lace on half of the front, on both cuffs and outside collar, ruffled or puffy style shoulder, the right chest has pleats, there is a a ribbon or bow styled decor, it features a structured, boned interior lined with the sturdy blue like the outside and just as sturdy of a black.

1880’s Light Celery Green Silk Bustle Skirt – Heavy Embroidered & Beaded Florals

This 1880’s skirt was once part of a bustle gown. It must have been spectacular. The embroidery and beadwork are stunning. The skirt is made in silk and the front of the skirt with the embroidery is in better condition than the back, The back has shattering and splitting. The front has scattered spots and wear. It has an old trunk smell. There is heavier wear at the bottom pleating. There is wear around the waistband. The skirt is lined with several different fabrics. The embroidery is remarkable. The skirt is a witness to the quality of construction of American fashion creators of the 19th century. The waist is 28 inches and the length from waist band to hem in front is 40 inches.

LINED IN THE BOTTOM IN BUCKRAM WITH A WOOL BINDING ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE. GLAZED COTTON WAISTBAND WITH A PAINTED MILK GLASS SINGLE BUTTON CLOSING. A POCKET IS HIDDEN ON ONE SIDE SEAM. CONDITION: THERE IS A LIGHT FIST SIZED AREA OF WEAR WITH SMALL PINHEAD SURFACE FRAYS AND SEVERAL TINY HOLES IN THE CENTER ON THE AREA OF THE BACK OF THE KNEE ON THE REAR LEFT SIDE. INNER BUCKRAM IS SCATTERED WITH SMALL HOLES WITH SMALL ABSENCES SEEN TO THE BINDING THROUGHOUT BUT IT IS HIDDEN BY THE RUFFLE. THE BODICE HOOKS CLOSED INVISIBLY AT THE FRONT WITH A PLEATED BELTING RUNNING AROUND THE WAIST TO HOOK CLOSED AT THE SIDE. GLASS BEADING TRIMS ACROSS THE FRONT WITH PLEATS ABOVE. STIFFENED BAND COLLAR IS POINTED IN THE FRONT. LARGE BILLOWING PUFF SLEEVES WITH THE BOTTOM SLEEVE FITTED, HAVING PLEATING ON THE BOTTOM WITH A SILK BOW TRIMMING. GLASS BEADED ON THE REAR BACK AND THE DRESS FLOWS IN WATTEAU STYLE IN THE REAR FROM A HIGH STARTING POINT ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM WITH THE BOTTOM SKIRTING IN A PINCHED SASH WITH SILK BOWS THAT MATCH THE CUFFS. 1870’s Two Pc Ivory Wool Bustle Gown

This is two pieces of a three piece bustle gown from the 1870’s. The gown was made of ivory wools. The overskirt is missing. I intended to use this soft wool fabric and the wonderful cotton to dress my French antique dolls.

1870’s Copper Silk & Turquoise Velvet Bustle Day Dress

This 1870’s copper silk and deep turquoise velvet is part of a three piece ensemble. The overskirt is missing. The bodice has inner brown cotton which has stains. The underarms have bad repairs, splits, wear and holes. See photos. The bodice placket has had buttons replaced by hooks and eyes and most of its hook and eyes replaced with snaps. There is discoloration and scatters small holes through both the bodice and the skirt. The bodice has a bust of 34 inches, a waist of 26 inches and shoulders that measure 14.5 inches across. The sleeves are 30 inches long. The skirt has a waist band of 35 inches and a front length of 38.5 inches. Most of the brown cotton lining of the skirt is good but it has some wear and holes at the top front of the skirt.
