This vintage 1940-50s Red Velvet Hooded Cape is in good pre-owned condition. Inner label reads “365 by All-State”. Small holes in inner lining consistent with age and normal use. Does not affect use and not seen when worn. One small stain on inner lining noted in photos. Both armholes have loose stitching at seams. Please see photos for details as they are part of the description. Model wearing cape is 5’8”. Used as part of Red Riding Hood costume, but would also work well for Handmaid’s Tale.

Measures laying flat; 23″ pit to pit, 22″ waist at belted area (is about 6” down from pit) 26″ shoulder to cuff and from 44″ back of neck to bottom. Overall excellent to good condition. No pilling or stains on wool. Fur intact and has no strange odors. Lining inside has some speckled discoloration toward the bottom. Inside one sleeve at the cuff the lining has pulled away. This is a lipstick or tomato red polyester knit stretch top and skirt set. The top has Dolman sleeves and a painted fox on the front. The fox looks like it’s body extends around the back with the tail swishing at the bottom of the front. Embellished with silver glitter. The top has shoulder pads. total length measures approximately 22 1/2 inches and pit on the Doman sleeves is approximately 23 inches. The skirt has an elastic waist. Elastic still has some stretch and measures approximately 17 to 20 inches. The skirt itself measures approximately 29 inches in length. Shows signs of wear with some light pilling but otherwise in great vintage condition.
