🔥Marilyn bombshell glam. Super hot retro 1950s wiggle dress injet black silk, accented with ablush-pink ribbon shoulder detail. Constructed withcouture-level techniques — wide selvage seams, expert darting, and aside underarm zipper.
French size 40, made in France. 2 side pockets. Sleeve- 22″ from shoulder point to sleeve hem. Waist- 25″.
A truly unique piece from the 1980’s, this black leather & wool dress is by Italian designer Gianfranco Ferre. This avant-garde dress features a « jumper » style sheath over long leather & wool sleeves, ending in a cream-colored shirtsleeve style cuff with single button closure.
The half-length sleeves also feature gathers at inseam. The center back features an incredible 28-button closure! The dress originally had 30 buttons but I did have to shorten the center back seam, because the bottom button section was so worn out, the fabric was half-frayed.
Designer Cathy Hardwick is legendary (she famously gave Tom Ford his first job!). This dress is beautifully constructed in Hong Kong. Has visible dirt smudges/spots (see photos) that require professional dry cleaning.
This is a gorgeous 100%Silk beaded and sequined full length black gown with padded shoulders, sheer, long sleeves with three inch slits at the wrists, a peek-a-boo keyhole opening between the breasts, and a back zip and hook and eye closure. The beading is done along the sleeves and bodice in a floral design and then the sequins cascade from the bottom point of the keyhole downward to adorn the skirt portion in such a way to slenderize the silhouette and trick the eye into making one appear taller. The dress was purchased in the latter half of the 1980s in one of the high end boutiques in the Rittenhouse Square area. I just cannot remember for the life of me the brand (I cut out the tag bc it was so itchy) or the shop name. Sorry. The lining is 100% Rayon and there is a slit in the back for ease of walking but no worry of flashing. Please check out the photos for details and reach out with any questions. Gorgeous 1950s/60s cocktail dress This dress features a beautiful overlay detail with tulle ruffles. Has a metal zipper down the back for easy wear and features boning on the top bodice for structure. Label reads John Stevens Highland Park. This dress does show minor wear and tear in some areas but are very minimal. Please be sure to view photos. The dress is a really pretty bronzy brown color and not exactly sure on fabric. Vtg Antique Early 1900s To 1920s Long Black Velvet Coat. Coat is made of a thick velvet fabric w/ what feels like a black cotton lining inside. It has 2 large button closures at the left side opening, & a pocket on the inside right on lining.
