I am not an expert but judging by the style and made in USA label I’m estimating this piece was made in the 80s, making it approximately 40 years old!! Vintage items of this age and minimal wear are RARE! Current styles with the exception of higher end brands simply don’t employ the same quality. As the saying goes, they don’t make them like this anymore! Lovingly and thoughtfull designed sheath from the 1960s. Shannon Rodgers. This is certainly silk. Stunning back. No foul odors. back zipper. colorful and tropical. beautiful in silk twill.
Not new but 100% wearable. 43″ from shoulder seam to hem. I am also not sure of the fabric. I would guess rayon?.
The dress has a rockabilly look and features the original material of a lace bodice and layered taffeta skirt. Adding a crinoline skirt underneath would likely make the skirt “poof” more if that’s the look you desire.
Length is almost 9.5”.
The torch was passed. No label for maker or size but this is a great dress and has an elastic waist to make sizing easier. My mother also wore lots of Bonnie Cashin in the 1960s and 1970s so I was aware of the modern minimalists, and sought them out for her when I found them.
Underarm to underarm: 21″. Shoulder seam to seam: 16″. Two pockets. Two pleats under pockets.
