Simply beautiful slip dress by Penny’s Adonna from the 1950’s! It features accordion chiffon pleats at the bust and also encircling the hem. It also has lovely lace trim. It is in overall great condition but does have a small tear to the lace under one arm and also a small one on the hemline. Both look like an easy mend. Please see photos. No maker’s label but these were often made by Vanity Fair and other lingerie lines. The torch was passed. My mother also wore lots of Bonnie Cashin in the 1960s and 1970s so I was aware of the modern minimalists, and sought them out for her when I found them.
