It has beautifully carved and dyed mother of pearl buttons. There are 13. It has amazing construction. It is lined in brown cotton and there are two newer patches on the lining. It is not perfect but it still makes a striking display.
This antique cape is very unusual in the fact it’s in such rare great condition! Made of a dark brown silk velvet with black silk inside liner. The velvet has a silky sheen but it’s thick & cotton feeling.
Pink Devore floral Velvet along the skirt and black velvet bodice. Black silk Fringe trim. Rhinestone buttons, lamé and rhinestone trim. Interior lining and panniers. Good overall antique condition.
This 1870’s copper silk and deep turquoise velvet is part of a three piece ensemble. The overskirt is missing. The bodice has inner brown cotton which has stains. The underarms have bad repairs, splits, wear and holes. See photos. The bodice placket has had buttons replaced by hooks and eyes and most of its hook and eyes replaced with snaps. There is discoloration and scatters small holes through both the bodice and the skirt. The bodice has a bust of 34 inches, a waist of 26 inches and shoulders that measure 14.5 inches across. The sleeves are 30 inches long. The skirt has a waist band of 35 inches and a front length of 38.5 inches. Most of the brown cotton lining of the skirt is good but it has some wear and holes at the top front of the skirt.
