The RN# is for the Sklaroff Bros., Inc. of Philadelphia. The name changed from Sklaroff Bros. to Sklaroff Bros., Inc. occurred in 1950/51. This is the same RN# as for Lucky Circle stockings. This is New Old Stock from a long, long closed NC hosiery mill’s storage area. I, personally, went through the storage area and selected these stockings. As for the reference to Lucky Circle stockings, they were also in this mill’s storage area. Packages will have light damage. Paper insert is white. There is no guarantee on these unopened vintage items as to the elastic or nylon being in excellent condition or not smelling musty, time takes its toll, and, I regret, that returns will not be accepted and they are being sold as novelties. That said, it is usually the exposure to heat (such as the dryer) that destroys elastic and nylon over time. A gentle hand washing with mild soap will eliminate any musty smells. Although I maintain a smoke-free and a pet-free studio, I have no control over where items have been previously and I cannot guarantee that it may not smell musty.
