I absolutely adore vintage fashion plates and magazines. I get the most scrumptious ideas for unique garments. This garden/longe set is exactly that. Made from a length of vintage high thread count cotton in soft butter yellow with a jade green window pane check, this set features a Peter Pan collar and keyhole neck bound with jade green bias trim. A matching art deco early plastic (maybe colt) button sets just below the keyhole to hold the removable garden apron with a patch pocket big enough to hold a few items. The short sleeves have run back cuffs and the pants have the most gorgeously wide legs and a wide elastic band waist. I have been making vintage reproduction clothing for over 20 years. Each garment is made by hand, by me in the kitchen of my cottage in Southern Vermont.
