well done skirt..beautifully tailored..wonderful fabric..high slit in back..the waist has two heavy duty hooks with JAPAN marked and the zipper is brown nylon and marked Unique YKK Japan. Seam to seam across waistband = 12.5 and the band itself is a tab under 1.75 inches and the length from base of band down is 37.5. The slit is 21.4 inches. seam to seam across hips = 18
Top half is lined. No holes, snags, or stains. Fabric is similar to a linen feel.
I’m not exactly sure what the fabric is and I didn’t want to guess but I do know they are old. Hopefully you are able to discern the fabric type from my many pictures. The pleats are expandable. I’m not sure if they were ever worn.

A spectacular example of an original 1920s wedding dress for a very wealthy lady, this dress still has the original train, headpiece, purse, and extra never-used pearl beads as part of the sale. Prong set rhinestones and unique beads adorn the dress, and if you look closely there is a butterfly in the center of the belt. The closure is on the left side and there are two layers to the dress. The shawl is lined in silk chiffon, which is ripping in some areas. Beautiful lovebirds adorn the bottom of the train and one is carrying a flower into a heart. The original hooks and eyes to attach the shawl to the shoulders are no longer there. As you can see from the photos, these pieces are in need of restoration. There are missing strands, broken closures, light stains, and holes. We have photographed many areas, and the most significant. areas of damage. If you are an interested buyer and would like more images we are happy to provide them. The head piece no longer has a closure, and when you look at the interior, you can see remnants of a tulle veil are sewn into the top. The purse is missing a wrist strap. Here we have an original designer 1980s Chloé by Karl Lagerfeld sweater dress and poncho. The red dress is a sold red knit, long sleeve, and falls just below the knees. The matching poncho is color blocked red and gray and has a turtleneck.

No era epitomized the feminine like the 1950’s…. This sweet and charming little dress was most likely home-made, making it a one-of-a-kind vintage 50’s piece. Perfect for warmer weather, it is constructed of a lightweight cotton weave fabric, featuring a micro swirling pattern of feather-like plumes on a grey ground, peppered throughout with little red dots! The bodice is form-fitting, with wide shoulder straps accented by red bows and cut through with a red piping. The skirt is a TRUE circle skirt, meaning it creates a full circle when laid flat. Unlined. The center back features a nylon (gasp) zipper closure with metal hook & eye at top. As mentioned above, this dress seemed to have been altered for most of its life. There was some crude stitching along the side seams of the bodice, and when I took those stitches out, it revealed a slightly darker fabric underneath. There are also some ghost stitches still present (will go away with time and wear), as well as the alteration/shortening of the straps by 1/2 inch which has been left intact. No labels or maker’s marks present. Condition is very good aside from the slight issue from alterations mentioned (dress has been washed and cleaned, like all pieces from my shop, unless otherwise noted!).
