Absolutely gorgeous 1950s mid century Suzy Perette fit and flare party dress in excellent vintage condition. Black with blue floral design. Needs a few minor repairs at back waistline, waistline of lining, underarm seams, and reattachment of hook and bar closures. See photos. Pit to pit approx 16” laid flat. Waist approx 12.5” laid flat. This is a remarkable coat and I spruced it up a bit to give it another life. Restitched the button holes. Interfaced the quilted lining where it was loose a tad. It is super fun – bright colors in a wool plaid.
The colors are happy and lovely, and the styling is classic 60s-into-70s. Perfect for the « Palm Royale » look. The torch was passed. My mother also wore lots of Bonnie Cashin in the 1960s and 1970s so I was aware of the modern minimalists, and sought them out for her when I found them.
