This is a slip made from nylon netting, the fabric most-often used decades ago to make stiff, full slips. In very good condition. Some stray threads. Some pinholes as shown in the photos. They are not large but are from wear/age. This fabric is stretchy. The elastic has worn out and the previous owner used safety pins to size it. This is a very cool dress. I believe from the 40’s, the brand tag says L’ Aiglon. It’s white with polka dots. It has a matching jacket. It could be acetate, or maybe silk, I’m not sure. The material seems sturdy and wearable still. I think the dress could used a soak, it’s a little dingy/yellowing( very slight)but not bad. I do think it would easily come out and brighten up nicely.
