1940s Lemon chiffon with muted black floral print. Notice how the pattern ebbs and flows. Not fading for it is too inconsistent. Dry Cleaned. Their history warrants nothing less. It has history, was, most likely, lovingly worn and cared for and endured far more years than most of us – in most cases 60 to 100 plus years.
This 1940’s long rayon coat was most likely part of a two piece ensemble. It would have had a matching dress of the same fabric worn under it. Eisenberg was a very well known American designer. The coat is in good condition except for the discoloration from age on the shoulders. See photos. I have not cleaned the garment. The bust is 38 inches, the waist is 32 inches and the hips are 40 inches. The shoulders measure 15 inches across the back and the sleeve length is 26 inches. From the shoulders to the hem is 47 inches.
Swank with swag and swagger. Quite the authoritarian cocktail dress. I see 3 or 4 beads missing. Dry Cleaned.
1940s great draped black rayon totally studded in prong set squares all over – front back, skirt, neckline, waistline. everywhere. The weight adds drape to and with the fabric. 1940s Rayon, there’s nothing quite like it – soft, durable, great feel upon the skin.
If you own a long skirt, short skirt, full skirt, slim skirt, trouser skirt, full pants, slim pants, jeans, or shorts, you should also own this blouse. In Black, White, or Cream. (Or you may want to go ahead and have all three colors at the ready.).
