This black silk Faille mantel was beaded with jet beads in the 1880’s. There is some loss to the beading but it is overall good condition. The silk lining has age related wear. See photos. There are some loose threads. The beaded detail is amazing. Some people call these capes. The shoulder measurement is 15 inches across and from the shoulder to the end of the beaded tassels in front is 24 inches. The dress I have it on has a 32 inches around bust.
