Description : Here we have an interesting black silk (almost like a linen) duster jacket from the 1940s era. It was definitely hand made. It has shell buttons up the front and can be worn with or without a belt, which is shown in the photos. It has a silk collar and there is some damage to the collar, which could be removed and washed or repaired or just removed to be a collarless duster. There is also a small hole on the front which can be seen in the photos. It has interesting gathering at the shoulders and capped sleeves that come in at the top. Shallow front pockets. Fiber/Care: probably wool, possibly a wool blend, could be a high-quality synthetic / dry-clean. It’s got all the mid-century details we love, but still looks totally modern. A versatile addition to any wardrobe.
The black crepe?. The dress is an estimated size M/L, with chest and waist sizes of 36″ and 32″ respectively, and a hip size of 38″. This original piece hails from the 1950s and was made in the United States with a union label.
It is very well made and I think it is handmade. Slit on back. I think the material is wool but very light weight. Stand up mandarin style collar. I don’t know if they’re supposed to be 3/4 or they were just shorter for whoever made it.

This is a GORGEOUS vintage black lined wool coat with fur trim in a women’s size large. It was tailor-made in Virginia, MN at a store named Robert’s in mid-1900’s. This stunning piece has a 5” wide fur collar and 5” wide scalloped fur cuffs on the 3/4 sleeves. It has adorable fabric-covered 1 3/4” buttons (3 of them) down the front. The knit wool fabric has a line pattern in it and the lining is a soft nylon/satin-poly feel. This beautiful, relaxed, A-line coat is 22” wide at the chest and 41” long and fits about a women’s size large. While preowned, this coat is in oristine condition with the only flaw being the thread attaching the fur on one cuff coming loose and a pin is holding it in place. There are no holes, flaws, or pulls! Please see all pics to appreciate this glamorous show-stop.
Vtg Beautiful Handmade Black Tailored Dress Covered Buttons Lace 50’s. This handmade dress was given to me by a friend, her Mom made and wore it. Knowing the family history I would say she made it in the 50’s, the material has a sheen stretchy feel to it. Please note I have not had it cleaned and there is deodorant on the sleeves, it just has been stored in a closet in my home. Trying to downsize so wanting to move it on to someone who will enjoy and cherish this amazing dress, pictures do not do it justice.
