A beautiful handmade reproduction. The fabric has a subtle basketweave texture. High collar and the gathered front that nicely hides the hook & eye closure. These alternate to make securing less confusing.

Made mostly of cloth- not sure what kind as this is handmade. Has leather and beaded trimming. Cloth has uneven fading and has a fair amount of small stains and spotting on front and back. Dress is in good condition but needs cleaning as it was stored a long time and has a slight dusty smell. Sleeves are sheer chiffon with lace cuffs. There are a few small spots on a few buttons. The hem of the outer dress layer is NOT hemmed and has some unraveling. Originally it looks like it was cut with pinking shears. It will need a rolled hem or fresh trim. Its waist will fit between 24 and 26 inches. The hips are 34 inches. It has wear, pitting and some spots which are typical of this type of garment that is close to 80 years old. It still has some life in it if you don’t mind its vintage patina.

this dress is incredible Vintage union made dress made by International Ladies Garment Workers Union I dated the tag to the 1970s this dress is about 56 or so years old it’s in immaculate condition no holes or pulls in lace or dress this is called the caplet dress it’s sleeveless with a cover for shoulders and arms. I’m guessing it’s a blend of lace with silk/polyester, I’m unsure. this dress would be great for formal or entertaining it’s be a perfect addition to any collection:)
