Absolutely stunning Guatemalan huipil with decorative floral and bird embroidery. The embroidery is matching made and attached onto handmade fabrics. The fabric itself has hand made embroidery. It is a beautiful vibrant combination of colors. There are minor pulls as shown on the pictures. Due to it being vintage the fabric does have some wear to it. It is a statement piece and beautiful. Hard to date, this is my best estimation given pieces I’ve seen upclose and have personally studied. It is largely made of cotton and possibly a bit of dacron blend, but mostly cotton. Maxi length dress with a sizeable folded over pocket & adorable ruffle.

This 1880’s skirt was once part of a bustle gown. It must have been spectacular. The embroidery and beadwork are stunning. The skirt is made in silk and the front of the skirt with the embroidery is in better condition than the back, The back has shattering and splitting. The front has scattered spots and wear. It has an old trunk smell. There is heavier wear at the bottom pleating. There is wear around the waistband. The skirt is lined with several different fabrics. The embroidery is remarkable. The skirt is a witness to the quality of construction of American fashion creators of the 19th century. The waist is 28 inches and the length from waist band to hem in front is 40 inches.

This two piece dress made of green velvet and brown silk Faille is such a rich combination. It was created in the late 1880’s or early 1890’s. The skirt is lined in a brown cotton lining and is in good condition. The bodice is made of brown silk with deep green velvet sleeves and black cotton lace. There are a few holes in the lace. The inside lining which is patchwork has some staining and there are two large holes in one of the sleeves. See photo. The bodice has a bust of 34 inches a waist of 21 inches and shoulders of 12 inches. The skirt has a waist of 22 inches and a front length of 43 inches. She was slender and tall.

This pretty dress is made from a heavy crepe, probably rayon and made in Hong Kong. It’s fully lined and has a metal zipper in back, it’s red but with orange tones. The front of the bodice is opened and held together by rhinestone ball buttons, but some skin will peek through between the buttons. IT’s a heavy, well made dress. It’s marked a vintage 12 and measures 37 inches around the bust, midriff/waist is 31, hips are 44 and it’s 54 1/2 inches long. Excellent. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.
