This skirt is in excellent pre-owned condition with the exception of a small, light spot on the front (see photo), which I did not attempt to remove. This is a very old skirt with very small sizing.

Brown Wool Peplum Suit Jacket This vintage Hattie Carnegie 28 Shop Marshall Field & Co. brown wool peplum suit jacket dates from the late 1940s. It is made of a brown fine twilled cloth woven wool fabric done in a heathered effect. This tailored stylish suit jacket has a peplum skirted style, with a Peter Pan collar notched button hole, slight shoulder padding, long sleeves with rolled cuffs, asymmetrical pleat pockets, embroidered fabric covered button closures down the front, is fully lined in a brown silk fabric with a « Hattie Carnegie » designer label, « 28 Shop Marshall Field & Company » department store label and an « NYG » union label sewn inside. The jacket measures 21 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 26 inch waist, 19 inch long sleeves and a 15 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a few tiny holes on the silk lining inside.
