Vintage 1980s Black Silk Beaded Sequin Full Length Pageant Gown Size 4
This is a gorgeous 100%Silk beaded and sequined full length black gown with padded shoulders, sheer, long sleeves with three inch slits at the wrists, a peek-a-boo keyhole opening between the breasts, and a back zip and hook and eye closure. The beading is done along the sleeves and bodice in a floral design and then the sequins cascade from the bottom point of the keyhole downward to adorn the skirt portion in such a way to slenderize the silhouette and trick the eye into making one appear taller. The dress was purchased in the latter half of the 1980s in one of the high end boutiques in the Rittenhouse Square area. I just cannot remember for the life of me the brand (I cut out the tag bc it was so itchy) or the shop name. Sorry. The lining is 100% Rayon and there is a slit in the back for ease of walking but no worry of flashing. Please check out the photos for details and reach out with any questions.
