Here is an outstanding Vintage Cheongsam in bright red with silver Chrysanthemums all over. It is long with 8″ slits on each side, and has white piping around them. The sleeves also have white piping, and it has a metal zipper on the right side. The label is Liberty, made in Hong Kong, 100% rayon. Made of thick, navy blue knit with a bit of a cropped length. V-neck, with scalloped accentuation along the hem, sleeves, and neckline. Unmarked for size. There are several stray threads in the knit, and there is one small area of snagging or scuffing on the bottom right torso, near the hem.

Velvet trim ribbon detail with bows on the back. Nipped waist and balloon hem. No obvious flaws. It has minor wear and pinholes on the lower skirt & lining. Likely tailors marks. Nearly perfect besides that.
Quite swank, utterly late 1940s to 1950s Vegas, definitive mid century glamour. It has history, was, most likely, lovingly worn and cared for and endured far more years than most of us – in most cases 60 to 100 plus years.
This is a lightweight silky blend and may well be a silk blend. A tiny dress, but a delicious mid century confection. Enlarge the last four photos. There is a tiny bit of fraying to arm holes, stress, not holes, as shoulder seams, two pulled underarm areas.

This top is just spectacularly cute. 1950s tailored button down in a very lightweight semi-sheer white woven cotton with dainty pink and green floral print. I see Queen Anne’s Lace and ???. Closes with buttons from the waist to the the top of the neck, with a hidden button under the collar.

So there could be an occasional cat hair. this way they are protected and they are ready to send. cutting into the dress when cutting open the satchel is a stupid thing to do. It is normal to wash a 2nd hand dress bought online before wearing.
