This is a handmade antique black kimono style robe with hand embroidery design. Made from 100% silk, this one-size robe exudes a boho look with its flowing design and elegant black color. There is no belt or closures but it has an attached neck scarf/ tie.
It has a sailor collar and flared skirt. Shoulder: 15″ Pit to Pit: 18″. Color stability is difficult to maintain with closeup images and differing light conditions.
Silhouette: A-line, sleeveless midi. The dress isunlined but not sheer, providing comfortable coverage while maintaining a light, wearable drape. Shaping darts at the bust help define the silhouette, while the A-line skirt flares gently to the hem.

Has decorative buttons along the front but does not close. Also a few stray threads along seams and on decorative buttons, etc. May have light spot staining that is hard to decipher with all the different patterns & textures.

It is crafted from blue fleece fabric with lace detailing, and is a size regular.
Sweat stains on the armpit areas inside (pic# 15) but not so noticeable on outside (pic# 14). Very slight brownish stain (spot) near the buttons inside (pic# 16) but hardly noticeable on outside (pic# 17).
Cors are clean & bright. Big 7.5” x 9” waist pocket. Really gorgeous colors.
Likely made in the late 40’s to early 50’s. The dress has a baby doll look but can be belted for a very different effect! The belt is not included in this sale. The dress has a deep V neck with a snap/button top closure.

Vintage 1950s Handpainted Felt Circle Skirt 27” Waist Rockabilly Retro Swing 50s. Modern size 4. The skirt is handmade, there are no labels. This is a beautiful ivory felt with gold-applied all around illustrations including painted red and blue flowers and green leaves. The full circle skirt measures 110 inches – length of the skirt is 31″, and waist 27″. This skirt came from the estate of a dancer who owned many fine 1950s dresses and costumes. This is a great opportunity to purchase a unique collectible piece of midcentury women’s clothing. NOTE: in a few places on the inside, the paint or pigment soaked through.
